You are invited for the 2021 Shaffer Goldrush Open House! We hope that you can make it check out all of our NEW boar purchases and PROVEN favorites. We will be parading around 45 boars on stud for you to view! We will start the day with an AI Demonstration given by Bradley and Joseph at 10 am EST. They will be breeding sows and answering questions that you have! Lunch will be at 11 am EST catered by Pete's Bar & Grill. The boar viewing will be at 12 pm EST followed by the gilt sale at 2:30 pm EST.

ELITE GILT SALE

Join us for our LIVE Open Gilt Sale at 2:30 pm EST or 39 minutes following the conclusion of the boar viewing. Kevin Wendt will be the auctioneer. Check out the list of gilts that we will be offering. The gilts are not listed in sale; the sale order will be posted the day of the open house. Gilts may removed or substituted from the sale due to injury, illness, or for other factors out of our control. We would love to have you stop by and see the gilts in person. Also check back soon as we will be posting pictures and videos of the gilts in the sale.

If interested in bidding but unable to attend in person, please call us at 765-789-8349 prior to sale day so that we are able to get bidding set up. We would like to have them set up by Friday, August 27th since Saturday is crazy and we do not want to miss you! Kevin Wendt will be auctioneer and the NSR will be the ringman. Any of those guys can accept bids too!

GOLDRUSH BREEDING GILT PROGRAM FROM THE ELITE GILT SALE

Also if you purchase a gilt from the sale and want us to keep her and breed her, we can do that too! We charge $4 a day (start on Sunday, August 29th), a $75 breeding fee, and then the full price of the semen from the boar you choose from Goldrush. We will keep the gilts 45 to 50 days after breeding to confirm that she is bred. We like to pass over once and then confirm them bred with an ultrasound pregnancy test. Directions to the Open House

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OPEN HOUSE IS AT THE BOAR STUD, NOT THE OFFICE. IT IS ABOUT 3 MILES FROM THE OFFICE

From Richmond (I70 out of Ohio)
Take HWY 27 North to HWY 28 (flashing lights) – Turn Left
Take HWY 28 West to 1150 W (in Fairview) – Turn Left (South)
Go approx 3 miles and you will see the Big Tents on the West side of the road

From Indianapolis
Take I69 North to Exit 245 (HWY 28)
Go East on HWY 28 to the town of Albany
Stay to the Right at the Y (McDonalds is to the left)
Go out of town about 1 ½ miles to 1150 W (in Fairview) – Turn Right (South)
Go approx 3 miles and you will see the Big Tents on the West side of the road
