I first saw Red Dirt in September of 2010 while I was judging the NJSA South West Regional. Kade Hummel took me down to Dr. Rhys Cole’s to look his hogs. When I stepped into the barn, I was saw the most unique Yorkshire boar maybe I have ever seen in my life. He was huge footed, huge boned, extremely wide chested with a top and butt like no other! He had a huge skull and was impressive on the move. This boar challenged my thought process as I analyzed him for his frame size. He simply is the most moderate frame Yorkshire boar to ever stand at Goldrush. We own this boar with Dr. Rhys Cole and Tracey Lorenzen. He is out of the same sire that produced the 2011 Grand Champion Barrow Overall at the 2011 Western Stock Show in Denver, CO. He is a total out cross to most of the Yorkshires out here today.
NOTE: If you like to use boars that are outside the box, then use Red Dirt!
