V10 was the Grand Champion Duroc Boar at the 2011 NSR Winter Type Conference in Perry, GA. At Perry, Georgia, all boars on shown on carpet. When V10 came across the ring, his most impressive asset was his structural correctness and soundness of his feet and legs. As everyone knows, Durocs with lots of muscle are traditionally restricted in their movement and have structural issues, but not V10! V10’s sire is VP which was the Reserve Grand Champion Duroc Boar at the Winter Type Conference in 2009. VP is sired by V8 (Performance x Louisville Slugger) that we raised here at Goldrush. This is simply one of the best pedigrees in the Duroc breed. V10’s show ring presents, along with his massive top and rib, combined with his structural correctness, and proven pedigree sets him up to potentially be one of the great Duroc herd sires to come.
